![]() Outlook appears to have created an 'Important' folder which holds duplicates of all of my emails. I have created numerous folders into which I move emails in case I need to refer to them at some future date. I use Outlook to manage my Gmail account. And since there's only one copy of any message, if you delete it from any label. Everything else (Inbox, Starred, Drafts, user-labels, etc) are just 'views' into a subset of the messages in All Mail. Is there a way to set it up so that when I delete it from Outlook, it is also deleted from Gmail?Īs Gmail was set up with the thought of 'never need to delete an email again', the default configuration of Gmail is to archive your messages rather than deleting it. I noticed that when I delete a message from my mailbox in Outlook, I can still find it on-line in Gmail's All Mail folder. I've got my Gmail account configured as an IMAP account in Outlook.
